1. Tighten the canning rings only to fingertip tightness.
2. Do not over-tighten, as this may cause the lids to bulge or deform, preventing proper air release during water bath or pressure canning.

1. Before first use, soak the lids in hot water to remove any impurities from transport and to soften the silicone seal.
2. For your health, lids are intended for single use only.
3. Store in a dry place.
4. Fill the jar with food and wipe the rim clean. Place the lid and band on, tighten, and process the jar in a water bath or with a vacuum sealer. After cooling, press the lid—if it doesn’t move, the seal is secure.
5. After water-bathing, hand dry immediately to prevent rust and corrosion.
