- Heritage Cast Iron Wok — Crafted from uncoated cast iron for steady heat retention and high-heat home cooking. A durable alternative to thin coated woks for stir-fry, searing, sautéing and simmering.
- Season Before First Use — A light protective oil is applied for shipping. Wash with warm water and mild soap, dry completely, then heat with a thin layer of cooking oil to start building a natural patina.
- Natural Cast Surface — Slight texture and tiny casting marks are normal on traditional cast iron. They are not cracks, and they help hold seasoning oil as the wok develops its cooking surface over time.
- Flat Bottom for Common Cooktops — The 12.6 inch wok sits steadily on gas, electric, ceramic and induction stoves. For induction, preheat gradually and lift the wok instead of sliding to protect the cooktop.
- Simple Cast Iron Care — After each use, wash, dry thoroughly and apply a thin layer of oil before storage. Do not soak or put in the dishwasher. Natural easy release improves as the seasoning builds.
